Ground improvement as the name suggests is a technique which vastly varies based on the condition of soil and is used to improve the conditions of soil. Granular soil can be improved using densification either through vibration or displacement.
At Keller, we trust many ancient methods when it comes to strengthening of soil. Soil reinforcement is one such method where the engineering characteristics of soil can be improved using natural fibers. Using cementitious material for ground improvement is one more common method which can be used to improve granular soil. The pore water can be completely removed from the soil using preloading method whereas thermal stabilization of soil can be performed by heating or cooling methods.
It is often observed that these techniques have marked many changes in soil properties. Vibro-replacement method improves the bearing capacity of the soil and Vibro- displacement method displaces the soil, making sure that every type of soil has a solution for improving its performance.
