Horizonview Properties Pvt. Ltd. (K Raheja Corp) proposed to construct a multistoried IT park building at Porur, Chennai. The proposed 10 storey development also included of three levels of basement. Keller was commissioned by the main contractor to design and execute suitable and optimized retention system solution for the basement excavation and foundations for the building.
The subsoil condition at the proposed location was not suitable for proposed construction of commercial towers of 3B+G+9 floors. 12.5m deep excavation was very challenging in a varying soil and rock profile. Additionally minimization of water seepage between D-wall panel joints and through anchors along with installation of piles with deep cut off levels was very a critical task.
To address the geotechnical challenges associated with the project, Keller designed and executed a complete foundation package comprising of 650m long diaphragm wall with two level ground anchors to support 12.5m deep excavation including 200,000 cu m of earthwork and 1,000 no’s of large diameter bored piles to support basement and foundation.Learn More
